Aerial surveys and mapping for sites, land and estates
Orthomosaic maps, 3D models and measured site records, captured quickly and safely from the air. Covering Kent, Bexley, Essex & Hertfordshire.
A drone survey captures a whole site in a single visit: hundreds of overlapping, geotagged images processed into a map or 3D model you can measure from. It is faster than a walk-over survey and gives you a complete record of the site on the day it was flown.
We plan each survey around what you need to do with the data, whether that is a planning application, a design team’s base plan or a record of site conditions, and deliver it in formats your team already uses.
What’s included
Orthomosaic maps
A single, scaled aerial image of the whole site, corrected so you can measure distances and areas.
3D models and point clouds
Buildings and terrain modelled in 3D, for design, visualisation and measurement.
Measurements and volumes
Areas, lengths, heights and stockpile volumes taken from the processed data.
Site and land records
A dated, complete record of a site before work starts, at key stages, or at handover.
Planning and design support
Context imagery and site plans for architects, planners and development teams.
What you receive
- Georeferenced orthomosaic map
- 3D model or point cloud where specified
- Measurement and volume summary
- Data in common formats for CAD and GIS
Prices exclude VAT. Every job is quoted in writing before we fly, based on the site, the access and what you need delivered.

Aerial Surveys & Mapping: common questions
How accurate is a drone survey?
It depends on the method and what you need. For visual records and context plans, standard GPS positioning is enough. Where survey-grade accuracy matters, the survey is tied to measured ground control points. We agree the accuracy you need before we fly.
Does a drone survey replace a topographical survey?
Not always. It is excellent for mapping, volumes and visual records over large areas, but a measured ground survey is still the right tool for some jobs, such as levels under tree cover. We will tell you honestly which suits your project.
What file formats do you provide?
Typically GeoTIFF for maps, and OBJ, LAS or similar for 3D data, along with PDF summaries. Tell us what software your team uses and we will match it.
