Getting eyes on a roof usually means scaffolding, a cherry picker or someone climbing a ladder. A drone inspection gets the same close-up view in a fraction of the time, with nobody working at height and nothing to put up or take down.

We photograph every elevation and roof slope methodically, so you get complete coverage rather than a handful of snaps, and an annotated report that shows where each defect is and how serious it looks.

What’s included

Pitched and flat roofs

Slipped or missing tiles and slates, failed flashing, ponding, membrane splits and moss build-up.

Gutters, valleys and outlets

Blockages, damaged joints and overflow staining, often the cause of internal damp.

Chimneys and parapets

Pointing, cracked flaunching, loose pots and lead work that is hard to see from the ground.

Facades and elevations

Cracking, spalling, cladding and window condition on tall or hard-to-reach walls.

Pre-purchase and pre-let checks

An independent view of the roof before you buy, lease or take on a building.

Storm damage assessment

Fast evidence after high winds, for insurers, contractors and your own records.

Roof & Building Inspections: common questions

Is a drone roof inspection as good as going up a ladder?

For finding and recording defects, usually better: we see every slope, valley and chimney from close range and from above, and everything is photographed for the record. Where a defect needs touching or opening up, the report tells you exactly where to send someone.

How long does an inspection take?

Most single buildings take under an hour on site. Larger estates and complex roofs are planned in advance and may take longer. The report usually follows within a few working days.

Do you need access to the building?

Usually not. We need a safe take-off point nearby and permission from the landowner. We will talk through access, neighbours and any airspace restrictions when we plan the flight.

Can you arrange the repairs?

We inspect and report, so our findings are independent. If you want the work done, our sister building company can carry out the repairs, or you can pass the report to your own contractor.

Need roof & building inspections?

Send us the address and what you need to know. We’ll plan the flight, check the airspace and send you a clear, fixed quote.
